March Members Meeting

A recap of the monthly member meeting.

Our March meeting solidified how much we at GCCA believe in the power of collaboration and the transformative impact of grants in bringing meaningful change.

The highlight of the meeting was the inspiring presentation by one of our CRC Health Equity Grant recipients from Bhutan Cancer Society. Karma Tobgay, Executive Director, shared how the funding they received has transformed their work and amplified their impact. They presented a clear example of how strategic support can lead to life-changing outcomes. We plan on introducing you to more of these dynamic humans who are fighting CRC globally.

The application portal for the 2025 CRC Health Equity Grants opens April 1, and all GCCA members are eligible to apply. To learn more about the program and to apply, please visit our website.

We had a powerful presentation from Muriel Auclaire, Head of Membership Development at the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC), sharing insights into their global initiatives, emphasizing the critical role of grants in supporting grassroots organizations and driving impactful projects.

One of the key takeaways from UICC’s presentation was the importance of addressing disparities in cancer care and ensuring that underserved communities have access to the resources they need. Their commitment to fostering partnerships and empowering local organizations resonated deeply with our team and set the tone for the rest of the meeting.

Our next meeting is March 19 at 8am UTC, we hope you’ll join us!
